EMCO is a 43 years old
company focused primarily in the T&D segment of Power sector. It
is the third largest manufacturer of Transformers in India and a
leading player in Electronic Energy Meters and Turnkey Electrical
Projects up to 400 kv.

| EMCO is currently growing at more than
50% year on year basis. For financial year 2006-07, the company achieved
turnover of around Rs.650 Crores and Profit Before Tax of Rs.60 Crores.
For financial year 2007-08, the company has budgeted sales of Rs.1200
Crores and Profit of about Rs.100 Crores before tax. Our vision is
to achieve a turnover of Rs.5000 Crores by 2011. |
| The company has recently acquired URJA
Engineers Ltd., a Baroda based transmission line company executing
turnkey transmission line projects upto 400 kV. This company would
add another Rs.150 Crores to the top line for Financial Year 2007-08.

| The company has
expanded its manufacturing facilities at all locations to continue
to maintain its growth as it intends to double its turnover every
two years. |
| EMCO currently
has 20% of its sales coming from International business from around
25 countries and its medium term objective is to achieve 30% sales
from International market. |
| Further the company
has plans for synergic diversification in to Switchgear business,
up to 400 kv, which would further add to the top line and bottom line
of the company. |
| The company is
also in the process of setting up a 270 MW Coal-based Power Project
near Nagpur for which it has already obtained the coal linkage from
Government of India and has procured the land for the Power Project.
The financial closure is under discussion and is expected to be completed
soon. The total outlay for this project is Rs.1100 Crores. |
| The company has
four manufacturing facilities, three for Transformers and one for
Meters and around 1300 employees. All its plants are ISO 9001, 14001
and OHSAS 18001 certified. |
