perspectives. EMCO has a state-of the-art Govt. of India approved
in-house R&D Centre that works in close association with
some premier Academic and Research Institutes through collaborative
tie-ups, and under the guidance of EMCO's International Advisory
Board on Technology (IABT), catering to the constantly emerging customer
needs. The R & D Centre is well equipped & staffed by a team of specialists
and professionals working passionately on innovative research
and development projects synergic to EMCO business interests.
As a result of our dedicated and perseverant R&D efforts,
we have developed some innovative products, solutions and technologies.
Some of our recent developments are as indicated below.
- Indigenous Development of Energy Efficient HTS Transformer
under National Perspective Plan (JV with CPRI-Representing
Ministry of Power, Govt. of India).
- Indigenous Development of Eco-friendly Dielectric Fluid
for Transformer (In association with ERDA).
- SMART Transformer, featuring self diagnosis reports,
real-time data with performance monitoring.
- Automatic Power Factor Correction System to improve
power system efficiency by correcting power factor close
to unity.
- Active Harmonic Filter to correct anomalies & deliver
clean sine wave power.
- SMART Meters, offering futuristic solutions such as
Automatic Meter Reading (AMR), Advanced Metering Infrastructure
(AMI) with modern Energy & Revenue Management Solutions
(AERMS).
- On-line Transformer Monitoring System for condition
monitoring of transformer in service.
Sharing our domain knowledge, we have contributed over
30 technical papers to various national and international
conferences in the field of transformer and power quality,
during the last 6 years.
